Movie Review: Hot Fuzz

Yesterday, Clent and I went down to the ‘ole movie theater and watched Hot Fuzz. It was a really good movie.

Hot Fuzz is from the same creative team that brought you Shaun of the Dead, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright.

Hot Fuzz is the story of Nicholas Angel (Pegg), a highly effective police officer in the Metropolitan Police Force. He’s so effective in fact, that his superiors decided to move him to the peaceful village of Sandford, where there hasn’t been a recorded murder in over 20 years. A mysterious plot unfolds over the course of the film.

In true Shaun of the Dead style, there are a lot of jokes that you have to be paying attention to get. The “fascist” and “hag” scene and just about anything the Female officer says are prime examples.

I really enjoyed this movie and “by the power of Grayskull!”, Hot Fuzz gets a 8.7 out of ten.

Rating: B+
