At least that’s the claim of Magdalena Kwiatkowska, a Polish woman vacationing in Egypt. While at the hotel, her daughter (age 13) apparently caught that nasty prego virus while taking a refreshing dip in the guest pool. The mother (of course) adamantly refuses to admit that her daughter could have *gasp* had sexual relations with a boy whilst on vacation. Sperm floating around the kiddie pool is far more believable.

Wataru Ito, 25, started building the ‘Castle on the Ocean’ when he became bored during his exams. Using only a knife and glue, the art student built an entire cityscape by cutting and folding hundreds of pages of craft paper. The central tower is surrounded by a cathedral, school, theme park, factory and airport and comes complete with electrical lights and a moving train. The finished piece is now being displayed for the first time at an exhibition on the island of Umihotaru, near Tokyo, Japan. But Wataru, a second year student at Tokyo University of the Arts, says he will set his work on fire when the show is over. He said: “I am devoted while I am working on my projects but I quickly lose interest when I complete them. “When the exhibition is over I will burn the castle. “I thought I could see it rising up from the ashes if I took a video and played it backwards.”

I really do. Not because they cap my bandwidth (actually, I’d never know, the service is down so often, you’d never get to download enough to test) or some silly thing like that.
It’s just that it’s DOWN ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Today, it was down more often than it was up. Now, I will give them one concession — they are a Wireless ISP, and I believe we are nearing the end of their coverage area.
However, that is no excuse. If they appraised our property as being inside their coverage area, then there should be NO REASON WHATSOEVER that our internet goes out this much. I use SSH to login to a remote server, where I attach a screen session that has my irssi running so that I’m always connected to IRC. I know when the Internet times out, and I have the logs to prove that it’s really bad.
Finally, their shitty receiver has a built-in firewall that the consumer can’t modify. Playing Xbox Live (even when the Internet isn’t timing out) is a chore, because I can’t open the correct ports. It’s altogether incredibly infuriating.
They are my heroin.
By the way, $2 for two pizzas and a drink is a pretty sweet deal. Why can’t more waitresses mess up orders? :)
I have found the pinnacle of moviefilm directorial skills, and his name is Noboro Iguchi. After cult classics like The Machine Girl, one wonders how you could get any greater. I believe that he may have surpassed that movie with this one:

Just saw this tonight. The story of famous bank-robber John Dillinger, played by Johnny Depp. Christian Bale (the Batman) plays FBI agent Melvin Purvis who is after Dillinger and other famous gangsters like Baby-Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd.
Overall, I’d say the movie was good. However, this was certainly not Depp’s best performance, in my opinion.
One thing that really pissed me of and stood out oh-so-often was the camera work. In some places, it just seemed damn-near amateurish. And a lot of scenes had the shitty “looks like a soap opera” kind of cameras. I don’t know how to describe it, but I’m sure you know what I mean.
