Some people have waaaaay too much time on their hands, but that doesn’t mean I can appreciate their output. Take this for example:
Over at CoolStuff, they have the full description:
Created by Hertfordshire, United Kingdom-based sculptors and CNC/rapid-prototyping masters Morpheus, this wooden WALL-E sculpture is a limited edition of one. Commissioned by Disney as a gift for Pixar/Disney chief creative officer John Lasseter. Look at the extreme detailing in the photo below.
Very awesome:
First!
This piece is gorgeous! The detailing is amazing.
Man, that is incredible. Beautiful details!
In other news, jesus christ people stop saying all artists have “too much time on their hands.” For a good number of them (at least ones of this calibur), this is their *JOB.* And probably a cooler one than whatever pencil-pushing/cubicle-sitting/spreadsheet-creating you do.
That’s some epic wood!
While we are flattered to be included on your blog I must set the record straight… unfortunately Morpheus Prototypes did not create this wooden Wall-e. It is a beautiful model and we don’t want to take credit for another master craftsman’s work.
